During a presentation to investors in January, High Roller Technologies’ management discussed plans for strategic expansion aimed at enlarging their total addressable market by 2025, with entry into Ontario being a significant goal.
The company based in Las Vegas, which runs High Roller and Fruta online casino brands, declared that it has submitted an application for a gaming operator license in Ontario. The objective of the operator is to launch HighRoller.com in the latter part of 2025.
"The submission of our licensing application to access Ontario’s regulated online gambling market is an important milestone in our Company’s journey,” said High Roller CEO Ben Clemes. “Once our application is approved, we anticipate that we will have the opportunity to launch our online casino product into the market later this year.”
Ontario ranks among the largest regulated online gambling markets globally, generating CA$3.2 billion in gross gaming revenue for the fiscal year from April 1, 2024, to March 31, 2025.
One of the Biggest Gambling Markets in the World
Ontario's casino sector leads with revenue reaching CA$2.4 billion for the year, marking a 36% increase compared to the previous year. Ontario has 49 licensed operators and 83 online gaming sites. Seventy-three of those locations include a casino feature.
"Ontario is missing an elegant brand like High Roller,” said Clemes. “We’re excited to roll out the red carpet for our new customers, and we’re looking forward to showcasing our tremendous product.”
In a statement, the company mentioned it plans to seek a gaming license in Alberta for when that market becomes operational, expected in early 2026.
